OpenOffice.org Templates
I was thinking about putting up some templates that I use in and around the office
We used to be a Windows shop and I had marketing materials developed on MS Publisher for our reps. I am now mostly a Linux shop. My work computer is running Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) and my Office Suite of choice is OpenOffice.
MS Publisher format is closed-source and there is nothing that can read Publisher files except for Publisher. This means that I have to find alternate routes, so I have started developing templates for my must-haves based on OpenOffice.org
You can download OpenOffice.org from http://openoffice.org free of charge or obligation and load it on as many machines as you want. There is an OpenOffice download for Windows, Mac and Linux
To make your life easier, I will make the templates available in OpenDocument Format (Native to OpenOffice.org) and in MS Formats (Native to MS Office)
If you have requests let me know and I will prepare what I can for you. If you have OpenOffice.org Files that could be used as templates, send them to me and I will put them on the site. Look for the templates under the link in the top right side of the page
