When I was working through the grief surrounding my mom's passing, I had very little support, and hadn't yet heard of support "Groups." One thing I wish I had beard back then was "There is no set time frame for getting through your grieving." I was beating myself up about not feeling better, faster. I don't remember a day when I said, "Ok, the grieving process is done. On to new things." It probably took from three to five years before I felt more normal and not shattered. The death of the hard drive led to a grieving period of about two or three weeks. I haven’t found a good message board for this particular technological grief.
