When you go to your dashboard, on the left side is a link called updates. If it has a number in a black circle next to it, you have updates available. Since you didn’t specify which theme you were using, I cannot specifically comment on that one.
I have created several websights using various themes, but for myself, the Gonzo News theme is best. I also use some really cool plugins
Plugin______________________Description
Akismet Quite possibly the best way in the world to protect your blog
from comment and trackback spam. This is standard and justly so.

enabling this plugin visit the settings page and enter your Google

I have found.
ob-textonly- This looks a little old-fashioned, but it matches the GonzoDaily theme
social-bookmarker theme well. I can add social bookmark text links at the bottom of each
post.
podPress The podPress plugin gives you everything you need in one easy plugin to
use WordPress for Podcasting. Now all I have to do is record a few more
podcasts.
WordPress.com Stats WordPress.com Stats has been my stalwart companion for years, though it
looks like they have morphed into “jetpack.”
WordPress PayPal Donation This plugin adds a donate button to posts and sidebar.
WordPress List- The idea of this plug-in is that it makes anybody who comments on
Building Explosion your blog a member of your aweber distribution list. This may be a
relatively painless way to build your list, and aweber is easy to
unsubscribe if your reader/commenter wants to leave. I am testing it, and
since most readers are not commenting, I cannot tell you how well this
idea converts readers to subscribers.

I do agree with all the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They’re very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are very short for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.

Hey Wolf,
I love wordpress and I always will.
Once I found a good theme, it is just set and forget.
And it makes me concentrate in writing great contents for my blog readers.
I am using a simple and minimalist theme.

I wouldn’t agree with yours first paragraph… Even if it is easy some people just don’t know how to handle it.
Windows, driver, hardware etc. etc. instalation= easy but still there are people who make living out of it…

Be careful when using free themes, and always run them by a malware checker after you install them. People often put spam links in free themes, and it will hurt your SEO. Just search for “malicious coide checker, and you can have your site scanned for free.

I’ve been over a dozen blogs with various themes. Despite tons of WP themes being out there, I’m amazed at how I can never find one that truly does everything I want. But maybe I’m picky.
I’ll also say that just because you pay for a theme doesn’t mean it will be better. Some of the best are totally free.

Right now my favourite theme for marketing is Graphene. Has Google Analytics, has adsense, has a slider that shows the featured graphic related to the article. Pretty slick stuff. Here is an example, http://beerbrewingbook.com/

Great post Wolf! We conduct a search engine search every time we look for a theme. It’s important when looking to add in a specific feature that you may be looking for. For example, type “google adsense wordpress theme” and you get something more specific to wordpress themes that have Google AdSense features. You can also type “Premium WordPress themes” and find a great number of “repository” sites that have multiple themes.
